MISSING IN ACTION: Canterbury centre Krisnan Inu copped the early plea for his ugly spear tackle on South Sydney’s Greg Inglis and will miss five weeks. Sam Kasiano remains sidelined indefinitely with a leg injury while fellow prop James Graham still has four weeks of his biting suspension to serve.
Manly are still missing Glenn Stewart (knee) with the representative back-rower still a couple of weeks away from a return. Prop Richie Fa’aoso returns on the bench after serving his one-match ban for his shoulder charge on Gold Coast’s Ashley Harrison.
FORM: The Bulldogs have been competitive in all four matches so far this season but have only a 20-16 win over Parramatta in Round 2 to show for their efforts. They ran defending premiers Melbourne close two weeks ago, eventually losing 22-18, before going down 17-12 to the unbeaten Bunnies last start. Injuries have been a major factor in the Bulldogs’ slow start, with Des Hasler’s charges currently 10th on the NRL ladder.
The third-placed Sea Eagles have made a 3-1 start and are coming off a comfortable 26-0 thumping of Wests Tigers in Gosford. Geoff Toovey’s men haven’t quite hit top gear yet in attack but the fact that they have twice kept their opponents to nil – they beat the Knights 32-0 in Round 2 – is a major positive for the 2011 premiers.
